Según ambos sitios, la película llegará a los cines el 26 de junio de 2026. Esta es la segunda película que recibe una fecha de estreno desde que James Gunn y Peter Safran fueron contratados para renovar DC bajo el nuevo nombre DC Studios. El primero fue Superman, que Gunn está filmando actualmente con fecha de lanzamiento para el 11 de julio de 2025. También ambos sitios aseguran que Gunn y Safran contrataron al cineasta Craig Gillespie para dirigir la Supergirl, protagonizada por Milly Alcock (House of the Dragon), quien interpretará a Kara Zor-El.
